In 1959, Elder Montes and his companion was serving a mission in England, United Kingdom, working hard to teach the gospel, without success. Elder Montes was born with birth defects in his feet. It was a problem that would affect him the rest of his life. One day, one of his feet began to hurt him. He wasnt able to go on walking. So he decided to go in a shoe repair shop to see if there was some solution. The clobber gave him many idea. Two days later, the couple of missionaries were sitting in the park, having lunch when the clobber recognized them. Gordon Everett said hello. After having taught him, Gordon ended baptizing and being a stronger member of the Church. The teaching is that after an adversitiy, learning comes after. It is the answer of What is the place of the adversity in our lives? The Lord uses adversity to help us to learn worthy lessons. Lets see the examples of many people i.e the LDS in 1846 when getting away form persecution. At last, they achieved to settle in the Salt Lake Valley. Job was another exampler. He lost his animals, his serants, his friends, his children. Despite of this tribulatons, he was stil steadfast in his faith. The Savior was tortured and crucified to give us a learning. It is a learning process. As we experience the adversity, we have to be like Job, steadfast in our faith. Like Paul, lets seek to develop Christlike traits. Like the Savior, lets learn obedience to our Father´s will. D&C 103:12
