In 1970 as a 16 year old editor of the underground newspaper in Montreal called Logos we wrote about then the very first Earth Day and we bandied around words like ecology and sustainable for the first time and i remember we preached dire consequences and i remember thinking we are exaggerating here with our pronouncements but what the hell.No clean water ,severe pollution,the destruction of the oceans,fish contaminated,weather patterns amiss.All these things have come to pass in 40 years and i am sickened and i had no idea the prophecy that those words i wrote so long ago would come to herald.
