In 1973, I was a copilot for Houston Metro Airlines. We flew DeHavilland Twin Otters between Clear Lake City and the Houston Intercontinental Airport, eight round trips per shift. During one of my breakfast breaks, I was setting in the Dobbs House open air restaurant, in a half circle booth with Bill Cosby and another African American man in the adjoining booth. In the twenty to thirty minutes my co-worker and I were there, we were able to hear every word that came out of their mouths. I have to tell you, it was the most hateful, racist and alarming conversation Id heard to that point. From them on, I did not find the man funny at all and with all Ive hear from his recent accusers, I cant help but believe them.
