In 1975 the Rhodesian govt authorised the establishment of ndebele language radio and TV station- Radio Mthwakazi.The aim was to promote the language and cultures of the region and to give us a sense of belonging.But our celebration was cut short when the new rulers who were refugees in Mozambique, ZANU people came to power.they closed the station,fired staff and brought in their people from ZANU radio in Mozambique to run the station.Radio Mthwakazi became part of mbare.You see why we say some of us will always cherish what we had during the Rhodesian era.These ppl have taken too much from us.PLS GOOD PPL AM NOT TALKING POLITICS BUT ISSUES THAT rob other people of their freedom.what is life when u are not free.Enjoy your day folks.
