In 1978 the worlds two foremost knee surgeons (Slocum and Larson) reconstructed my left knee and right knee. Tomorrow I will have the right knee totally replaced by a procedure and product named after those same two world-renown surgeons. (The left knee will be done in three weeks). This will be the 7th and 8th surgeries to date on my knees; and FINALLY the last! I am both grateful and amazed at the advancement of modern medicine and surgery in our day, which affords us a better quality of life -- and for active outdoorsmen like myself, the chance for even a few more adventures! PS: I might actually be an inch taller as a result of the new titanium and chrome molly parts -- but certainly two pounds heavier :-)
