In 1983, Hezbollah murdered 299 people – including 240 US Marines and 58 French soldiers – when suicide bombers attacked the barracks of American and French peace-keepers in Beirut. Hezbollah’s reign of terror is truly global, striking as far away as Buenos Aires, where a 1994 attack on a community centre killed 85 people. On 18 July 2012, six innocent civilians lost their lives when a bomb exploded on an airport bus in Burgas, Bulgaria. The initial Bulgarian investigation into the attack specifically names Hezbollah. And just this March, a Cypriot court found Hossam Taleb Yaccoub, a self-identified member of Hezbollah, guilty of plotting attacks in Cyprus. If just one country refuses to take action against Hezbollah, we all remain in great danger.
