In 1991, when India’s foreign exchange reserves were drastically falling ,Narasimha Rao government approached the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for an emergency loan,. The IMF agreed on two conditions. The first was Structural Adjustment and Economic Reform. The second was the appointment of a finance minister of its choice. That person was Mr.ManMohan Singh .He takes 3rd place in serving as PM for a long period (10 yrs).A man of great wisdom , a great scholar , unfortunately such a capable person was made just a puppet. As Indians we have forwarded enough jokes on his silence.Given a free hand , he would have done a lot towards nations economic growth..Now that he has shown his dignity in moving down from the Chair of PM we can pray for his good health.
