In 1992 before meeting his death,Masinde Muliro was seeking the presidential nominations to be the flagbearer of FORD(before the split).While Masinde Muliro was contesting for the FORD nominations,Moses Wetangula was campaigning for Moi and also contesting for Sirisia MP on KANU.In the same year,Cyrus Jirongo was the Chairman of Youth for KANU 92.Jirongo was therefore campaigning for Moi and KANU against Masinde Muliro in 1992.In 1997 when Wamalwa Kijana and Martin Shikuku were contesting for presidency,Jirongo and Wetangula were contesting for the Lugari and Sirisia parliamentary seats on KANU,supporting Moi against Wamalwa and Shikuku.In 2002 when Luhyas joined NARC through Ford Kenya of Wamalwa Kijana,Kenneth Marende chose to join NARC through LDP of Raila Odinga.Marende therefore helped Raila to increase his bargaining power by increasing LDPs numbers instead of helping the bargaining power of Wamalwa Kijana in Ford Kenya.The only presidential candidates that Marende,Jirongo and Wetangula have supported in their lifetime are Moi,Kibaki and Raila.Are these the right people to call for Luhya unity????????????
