In 1994, Bruce produced an album for our dear friend George Bayer, lead singer for the band Lizard from Germany. Bruce also played guitar on the album, and Danny Lastinger (Cadillac) and I played drums and bass for the whole album. We lived in a very nice hotel in the city park of Stuttgart, Germany, while recording. The album was called Borderline. Also on the album were the two fellows below, Bernie Marsden and Micky Moody. They had previously been in bands like Deep Purple, and both were founding members of Whitesnake. Bernie wrote the song, Here I Go Again, which was a giant hit for Whitesnake after they left the band. That was ok with Bernie. He still made his money from it. Hanging out in the lounge at the studio with them, I remember Micky as a nice, soft-spoken fellow. Bernie, on the other hand, I remember as a British cut-up. Shared many laughs over coffee. Heres an example of their work together. Rob Walker recorded a guitar solo on one of the songs on the Borderline album, but thats another story for another day.
