In 1996 I became a forever Yankees fan when I saw Derek Jeter play shortstop. He was talented, beautiful and playing my favorite sport. Throughout the years he has never let me down. He is humble, still beautiful and the best shortstop in the game of baseball. It has been on my bucket list to watch him play baseball someday, somewhere. My kids have also become HUGE Yankees Fanatics attending 2 Yankees games with Josh at Yankee Stadium. Unfortunately when they went, for what I think was the first time, Derek Jeter was missing games due to injury. 2014 will be his last season. The day I heard this I thought Well bummer noway Im ever gonna see him play. Last night Erik was working, the kids were just getting to bed and the loneliest part of my night was setting in when all of the sudden my phone rings and its Erik calling to tell the kids goodnight as he always does at this time when hes working nights. Last night was different when I answered the phone there was pure excitement in his voice. Not only was he calling to tell us good night but he also called to tell me HE GOT US TICKETS TO SEE THE YANKEES PLAY THIS SUMMER! Erik, Raynie, Jace and myself are heading to Arlington in June to see the Yankees take on The Rangers. Anyone who knows me knows this is one of the biggest deals ever for me! I could not be more excited!! Thank you to my husband for listening to me and loving me so much! GO YANKEES!!
