In 1996, a group of artists and psychologists from the Dutch Hope Foundation established the Open Studio in Hope City to develop the capacity of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society in the city of Khan Younis. The Open Studio targets children in the local community and the integration of persons with disabilities with their peers through several activities. This group of employees is trained in arts, education, music and psychology to deal with the children. Here a large number of children will meet to practice various activities in their favourite club consisting of 6 sections which includes an open studio, childrens library, computer lab, game room, music room and a Dabke theatre.
