In 1998, we had the remake of Psycho with the original writer, Joseph Stefano. last year, we had the remake of Carrie, co-written by the writer of the 1976 original. Now, we have Robocop, co-written by the creators of the 1987 flick. and the question for all three is, why? this newest remake, like the two previously mentioned films, adds nothing. Despite a good cast including Michael Keaton, Gary Oldman (The original screen Batman with the Commissioner Gordon from The Dark Knight series, nice stunt casting), and Samuel L Jackson excuse me, Samuel L mother-F***** Jackson, who utters a bleeped out version of mother f***** in this one, remember this is PG13, not to mention Jackie Earle Haley, & Jat Baruchel, the thing was entertaining enough but the question is why do a f****** remake? at least they used snatches of Basil Poulodoris theme. but, to be honest I would save your money, and wait for the damn thing to come on DVD.
