In 1999, myself, Tony Morrison and Paul Fordham organised a 10 date UK tour for the legendary Latin music bandleader and pianist Eddie Palmieri (aka The Sun Of Latin Music).To spend a few days on the road with my alltime favourite Latin music hero was just amazing. I learned more about Latin music from him in a few days than from years of reading books or searching the internet for information. He was so excited about the UK tour he said he would get Tito Puente to come over with the Eddie Palmieri band the next year after they recorded a new album together. Sadly Tito died after the album was finished and they never toured the UK together. However they did record this tribute to Eddies UK tour bigging up gigs in London, Birmingham, Leeds, Bristol, Liverpool, Manchester and Glastonbury Festival. Beautiful music from two legends of the golden age of Latin music....gracias maestros por la musica!
