In 2003, I went back to Prague and kept hearing a song that I really liked. I found out who the artist was and, much to my surprise, it turned out to be someone named Sean Paul, from Toronto. This trip, in Poland, it was Kiesza, who is not Polish, but from Toronto! I have no doubt that the disproportionate number of great musicians (and Justin Bieber) that have come out of Canada are the product of governments continued support of the Canadian music industry. Its a shame that other areas have not been supported to the same degree (e.g., the film industry) and that right-wing governments (like the present one) lack the foresight and wisdom to support the arts. youtu.be/ESXgJ9-H-2U
