In 2004 my husband Carlos and I went to the Legacy Sale like we love to do. I came back early because it was almost over and didnt have anything we wanted left to buy. About two hours later Carlos shows up with a horse in the trailer. He said I bought a mare! I asked really , what is she (not remembering anything left that I wanted) . He says Shes by Smart Little Lena which he always wanted to have. I told him that was great but then came the rest of the news. This was before I saw her. First he said, well shes 19 years old, blind in one eye, and shes open. Then when he unloaded this poor skinny half dead horse all I could think of was, well she got a good home. She gave me 4 great babies and has been the best babysitter to my other mare and my fillies. She gets as much TLC as I can give her. Starla Lena turns 30 this year and she looks better than we did when we bought her 11 years ago! Oh and she only cost us $2000! This is her today youtu.be/H0sfvqfLiLI
