In 2005 Saskatchewan passed a bill naming October 20th (every year) Tommy Douglas Day. Now I know thats not until Monday, but I am worried you might not have time on a work day to celebrate the greatest Canadians birthday. Take a moment to listen to one of his most famous speeches,The Story of Mouseland, presented by his grandson Kiefer Sutherland. youtube/watch?v=GqgOvzUeiAA ps. The Tommy Douglas Day legislation is at qp.gov.sk.ca/documents/English/Statutes/Statutes/T15-002.pdf. It contains a brief reminder of why we celebrate Oct 20th, even outside Saskatchewan.
