In 2009, my World Travel Year, I had planned on travelling to Kerala, India, to study Kalaripayattu for a month (or more, partly because I was also considering a style of yoga). Sadly, the prices quoted were much too high, and though I did travel a lot for Songahm, the only full month of new martial arts that year was in Cambodia, where I studied Bokator (Bokator Sor Association (សមាគមល្បុក្កតោ ស)).
