In 2011, husband & I went to see Louis Zamperini, (at the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte) the man of whom the book UNBROKEN & the movie was based on. Well, we were so far back in line until I did not get to speak to him. But, you know me. I waited around until he was leaving the room & I ran up from the crowd & in front of everyone, told him Youre my hero! and gave him a kiss. He just beamed! Husband was so embarrassed, until one of the men guiding him out, told us, you made his day!
