In 2012, Brijesh Singh did a wonderful cover for Tehelka Hindi on the lives of Indian spies. On how they are groomed on high dosage of nationalism, sent across borders to serve the nation and how after the government is done with using them, most of them are left to die in Pakistani jails. The story documented lives of many unknown Indian spies who were born in border districts of Punjab and Kashmir, were (and in some cases even forcibly) picked up by Indian intelligence agencies, forced to cross borders and work for India as spies. And were left to die in Pak jails after they were caught. High time when we need question the gross violation of human rights faced by these spies on the name of patriotism. A new documentary based channel named Epic made a documentary on one such (comparatively known) spy- Ravindra Kaushik titled Adrishya.. Here Brijesh speaks about his experiences based on his work on Indian Spies.
