In 2012, I delivered a talk to San Beda College Manila college students through JPMAPs invite. It was reset due to the typhoon. My first time to drive that area I got lost so I called. In my intro slides, I had a photo with my kids Eunice & Josh, and Martin & Thera. I didnt think the youngest two will be schooling there. Of course the connection I thought of then was my Dads college of Law; forgot about my brother Perrys too. Watching the Chalk BYM show last Friday Aug 22 with their engaging speakers and animated students reminded me how on my opening spiel in 2012 I ran to the stage with dancing music. To hype the students, I called for 6 volunteers and obliged all the professors to dance with me. Yes... I dont do boring talks or seminars.. Speakers must not punish their audience. Proud to say, I pioneered the evocative training style for empowerment topics & team building in 1998. You may ask my good trainer Ness Mendiola now Estalilla, who prepped my slides so so well wayback in Metrobank c 2000-2003. We rocked Lawrence Yance. Karen Foz ;) Thanks to a good friend Leo Gellor and former JMAPers Gian Carlo Delgado. Efren Cresencio for great coordination in Beda talks. Nothing happens by coincidence.
