In 2012, I started using facebook to promote a website I launched back then with very limited resources. People were very skeptical of the idea; but the response I received firmly placed a belief in me that digital was the way to go. Back then I was a business student with very limited practical experience and obviously I wanted to learn more. I contacted a person whom I believe to be a visionary, and he had the same plan to promote his own website through social media. He introduced me to some web developers and an amazing graphic designer. He gave me total freedom to experiment with ideas and execute activation level strategies. Did I know these people would become some of the best mentors I ever had in my life? I developed an instant chemistry with the designer and once we both realized we were coming up with great designs targeted towards social media, there was no holding back. We started by designing notification alerts for a page that did not have any marketing budget. Did I know that both of us would go on to manage the biggest brand in Bangladesh? One year later I was introduced to a startup with eight empty seats. The founders did not seem like regular employers, rather I perceived them as cool boro bhaias everyone would look up to. But did I know that the tallest of these cool boro bhaias would teach me more about management, hard work, dedication, marketing than any business school in this world? Fast forward to 2014, I was introduced to some of the most unorthodox people one can imagine. Being a business graduate, I was wondering how on this planet will I be able to work with a team who are from such different backgrounds. Did I know this team would become one of the most efficient team in less than one year? The practical answer to these questions should be No; but there are some instincts in life which defy all logic. The instinct to believe in yourself, and to believe in a common cause. We all believed in the digital revolution, we all believed in Magnito Digital. I am not going to tag anyone because you all know who you are, and without your dedication, sincerity and hardwork the digital space of our country would not have witnessed such magic. I am truly honored and humbled to be a part of this amazing story.
