In 2012, we had a war going on here on the Central Coast of California. Our friendly neighborhood nuclear power plant had a plan to explode air canons louder than an atomic bomb, offshore to map faults- or look for oil. These blasts were going to be shot off 69 thousand times and would have destroyed 500 sq nautical miles of mostly everything that uses its hearing. Miraculously, the whales came to the very gates of the nuke plant just in time to gain world attention, which got us activists rocking on their behalf, and soon we had 28 million people strong! The seismic tests were defeated. Now, every year, we hold a Thank You Whales celebration on August 16th. Hope you can make it! More at oceanoutfallgroup Baby Grey lost its way right by our shop!
