In 2013, the NCD Governor proposed a Skyrail similar to that in Kuranda, Far North Queensland. Not sure what progress that proposal is at but at the time it was announced some commented here on Skerah that it was a fantastic idea while others thought there were other priorities like Health, Education and at that time Roads. Having experienced the Skyrail in Kuranda recently, we must admit that its a little too early for us. The operation has to be efficient and most importantly we have to take care of these public facilities, something we often have a lot of trouble with. Now if the Skyrail runs on power/electricity, can you imagine half way through your trip on the Skyrail and suddenly a BLACKOUT. Youve probably experienced being in an elevator in an office building when a blackout happens.
