In 2014, sheikh Wissam ElTom was honoured by Dar-al-Fatwa, Tripoli, Lebanon, for his poem of 1193 verses composed on the issue of Quranic studies aiding in the memorization of the Quran. Subhan Allah, in over 800 years no Quranic or Islamic scholar has written such work! In fact, only very few scholars in our history have composed poems in similar verses of the Quran such as Imam Al-Sakhawi in 7th century hijri with only 400 verses. The highest scholars of Lebanon have identified Sheikh Wissams poem as ...a complete reference for scholars and teachers, and those who are memorizing or had memorized the Quran... We have been very blessed to have Sheikh Wissam in our IOU family and we ask Allah to reward him with the highest Jannah and all the best of this world also. Congratulations Sheikh!
