In 2015 people of color need to support each other. As a black man in America I have to work 3 times as hard to be successful in the corporate world. As a black business owner I have to work 10 times harder to first earn the trust of my own people, and 20 times harder to keep the trust of my own people. My people are quicker to try to find flaws in there own people before they take the time to watch the people that really hate them. Why does this happen. Over the last 2 years I have earned the respect and trust of hundreds close to thousands of people but I have to say it wasnt easy. I say all of this to say to my new business owners. In the beginning its going to seem impossible to get your business off the ground and people wont give the time of day. It just takes more effort, dedication, and patients, as a black business owner. One customer at a time.
