In 29 days and a wake up Howard Stanley and I will be married 40 years. Since it is Friday, Fryday let me tell you this man can cook! Many times I would look in the pantry or fridge and see NOTHING to make. Howard would walk in and in 30 minutes have something wonderful to eat. Several times after surgery the doctors told me I had to eat soft foods. Howard always made the soft foods good but let me tell you when the Drs said pureed food...I wanted to cry. I had tried pureed food at several conferences and no matter what mold they put it in...IT WAS AWEFUL! I had no desire to even try it. When we got home from the hospital Howard made up some concoctions that were wonderful. God has given my man a gift with food! He makes things so much better than any restaurant. He likes to go out and eat. Id rather stay home and have Stanley Kitchen. I remember one time we were going home from somewhere and the kids started saying, Im hungry can we stop and get something to eat? They kept asking about different places to eat. Howard said, Lets eat at Stanley Kitchen! The kids, Patrice Frye, Christopher Stanley and Bernard got all excited. They thought we were going to a restaurant with our name. When we pulled up in front of the house they said when are we going to Stanley Kitchen and it finally sank in. You should have seen their faces... Its still my favorite place to eat with the best Chef. The only thing I enjoy about the same is seeing him have fun with the grands.
