In 4 days comet ISON reaches perihelion, its closest approach to the sun, so naturally my eyes are trained skyward more-so than normal. (And my eyes are always on the skies as it is. Krysta and I were heading back from dinner when, lo and behold, we observed a bright tailed object streaming across the sky and plummeting toward horizon. To our further delight and surprise, we observed a second similar object in the same area of sky crossing perpendicular to the first objects trajectory. After a little discussion and star chasing we ruled out the possibility of it being regular aircraft leaving the possibilities open to; Extraterrestrial craft, space debris/descending satellite, very early meteor/meteorite interaction from ISONs tail. What ever they were, it made a swath of birds get the flock out of there in a hurry and in the opposite direction. lol Gonna keep an eye on the news tonight & tomorrow to see if there are/were any impact events.
