In 48 days it will be 9 years since hurricane Katrina took the lifes of over 1500 people mostly underprivileged and poor African Americans, what most do not know is that 85 bodies were not buried until 3 years later. As one of the most horrific events in modern American black history, I can forgive but never forget how our plight for help was largely ignored by the then Bush administration. I remember you my brothers and sisters and we will continue our flight for the right to exist , and to be treated with respect and dignity.
