In A&E last night there was a patient clearly suffering from mental health issues. Most of the nursing staff were kind and considerate but on the fourth time of her leaving for a cigarette and leaving a trail of blood due to breaking the cannula a male nurse spoke to her but still let her leave and then under his breath muttered just discharge her. It made me so mad just because she didnt have a medical condition and yes she was disruptive, but so was a dementia elderly lady, doesnt mean we shouldnt care about her state of mind and her suffering too. Rant over.
