In Acts chapter 20 the elders of Ephesus met Paul at Miletus for quiet the reunion. Of interest to us now however is the fact that Paul would warn some of these exceptional men that they would be wolves in the future (Acts 20:28ff). Now this is a very hard to understand passage of scripture, because none of us want to be identified as wolves, false prophets or heretics, and neither do we want to identify the elders, preachers and teachers we love as heretics! Of course the biggest hurdle in understanding this passage is that wolves demand that you do not understand it for yourself, thus the sheep’s clothing! Paul seems to be telling these brethren that the scaffolding (built of prophets) is going to be taken away from the New Testament church, that it would no longer be the church of the New Testament but the mature or perfect church (Eph. 4:11-16) that it would have to grow up enough to stand on its own without the gift of the Holy Spirit. (note: God is still with us literally because God is Spirit and His Spirit is Omnipresent, though He also is literally in Heaven [I think that is what Roy C. Deaver was trying to teach us], and even more so, He is with us figuratively when we study the bible). Before when there were prophets, God fed to the church His Scripture, through prophets, and men were compelled to obey every word (cf. Heb. 13:7, 17), yet after the church was perfect even the Ephesus elders were not to be trusted! Don’t trust anyone except the whole church Eph. 4:11ff and your own ability to prove all things, to be a workman that is not ashamed to stand before God on the day of judgment! We, the church and individually are to try the spirits/angels every word they say, and every time they speak (James 3:1; 1 John 4:1; 2 John 8-11) including the idea that we must determine individually who we may worship (eat) with (cf. I Cor. 5:3) including worshiping with qualified men (Eph. 5:11) so marking and avoiding men is an individual thing to be done by all (2 John 8-11; Matt. 18:17 of course preachers can help them to hear the bible Rom. 10:14) God is instructing His church to grow up, to be mature (cf. I Cor. 1:10) and of course that is intimidating, and we have been instructed by preeminent men that we need their help! Preeminent men, intentionally or not, close off much of God’s word because they cannot afford to understand the concept of preeminence, then if we accept spiritual bosses today, then of course understanding all of the bible is impossible. Of course there are preemeniant men in the church today, otherwise we would understand Revelation, 2 John, Matt. 18:17; Acts 20:28ff; Eph. 4:11ff etc. all! The solution of course is to study every chapter of the bible, as if there is still time, it will save our nation and our own souls! 1Ti 5:17 Let the elders that handle their duties well be counted worthy of double honor, especially they who labor in the word and doctrine. the hurdle to understanding all of the bible (none but the church is perfect and we can come to understand it together) is identifying the barrios of preeminence around it. False prophecies of preeminent men (and all of us who have spoken with all authority have been preeminent because we have been talking and not reading!): FIRST, the belief that all men are not equal in God’s sight, that there are rankings, and angels between God and man (cf. Psalms 8:4, 5 A.S.V. cf. Gen. 1:27-31 note: the office of an elder is the work of an elder Rom. 12:4). Preeminent men have to deny that the angels of the Old Testament (prophets) had to be obeyed (Heb. 1:1, 4), and the angels of the New Testament had to be obeyed (Heb. 1:7; 13:7, 17) so that you will not know that they are angels who are not prophets and who have to be judged and proven by the church (1 Cor. 6:3; Col. 2:18; James 3:1). This teaching leads to the SECOND FALSE PROPHECY of wolves in sheeps clothing, they believe that since man’s angel is his spirit that men then are not spirit, that we should not believe in “dualism” – that when the body dies the spirit dies thus many of them believe in “soul sleep” (when we die our spirits go to paradise, our bodies rest in the grave and our souls [life] goes back to God who gave it). Of course the reason is that if Christians did not worshiped God in the Kingdom of Heaven today ( cf. John 4:21-24;Eph. 1:20; 2:6),) then preeminent men or women could have total control without regard to the church concerning who the preacher is (cf. 2 John 8-11; Acts 20:28ff; Matt. 18:17; 3 John) and everything taught. This false teaching has lead many to turn away from the fact that men are still living in the flesh and to teach the very odd and false doctrine or claim that Christ has already returned (70 A.D. doctrine, because His own Spirit is with us). THIRD preeminence men insist that Christians today must be New Testament Christians – Christians who have access to ONLY first principles and then ONLY the second principles which the gift filled clergy; preachers, elders and apostles feed to them as the Holy Spirit directs (note: the gift of the Holy Spirit/ the miraculous ended when Revelation was completed and only lasted for 40 years (Micah 7:15 note: preeminent men are why we are not “allowed” to believe Micah 7:15; Matt. 18:17; I Cor. 6:3; Col. 2:18; 2 John; Revelation etc. all). FOURTH preeminence is supported by false prophecy relating to Heb. 13. Preeminent men teach that it is they to be unquestionably obeyed rather than first century Christians with the gift of the Holy Spirit (cf. Heb. 13:7, 17 “remember how they lived and died” vs. 7 note: we are to obey dead prophets!). God prefers that we honor one another, not do as they say necessarily, but to join them in their good work. To honor simply means to support, (gold or silver, a meal, encouragement, to involve ourselves in their good work, to worship with etc.). WHAT WORK DO WE HONOR THE MOST “Especially they who labor in the word and doctrine.” 1 Tim. 5:17. (note we triple honor elders, when they are do a good work (one) and because they are 60 years old (two) and when they preach they are a preacher (three another honor) and when they teach they are also a teacher (another honor), etc.) Will you honor me, and honor yourself by involving yourself with our Online School? As Director of Christ’s School of Biblical Studies Online, it is my singular work; my purpose will be to give attention to the reading of the bible, the entire bible, as that is the only hope we all have! The best devotional books of our brethren are NOT the gospel (cf. Gal. 1:8), and our preachers should not be wasting their time writing books, especially preeminent men who do not know how to rightly divide the word of God, because frankly they do not know much of the bible, and therefore all of their arguments are potentially invalid! I ask you to honor me, and to honor yourself by joining in this work. Study with us; support us financially or by sharing the bible with others through this work. I of course need your help. Since we do not have the gift of the Holy Spirit we are all imperfect and I need many men and women to prove my words (1 Cor. 6:3; James 3:1; 1 John 4:1), we will go back and correct the chapters we get wrong, therefore bringing more and more of God’s word to the world – it is how it is supposed to work. Preeminent men do not care about you proving all things, and they sure will not allow your feedback – but here you are vital! Preeminent men think they are sound and mistake free not needing your help – but they need to be involved in this work as well! Preachers, elders, teachers all need preachers, elders, teachers and every member of the church, not just at local congregations, we need the church – the whole church – it is who we can trust! I can tell you that if we all do our jobs correctly, God promises we will grow exceedingly! The reason most evangelistic efforts do not work, is because we have refused to take the whole gospel to the world! I have tracts available, business cards and perhaps how you can honor me, is to share a chapter with someone! Maybe hand someone a business card with an address for the study of the book of Revelation! Though the school is online, it is your school as much as mine; I invite every Christian to participate to make the school better. I too can do some fill in work, teach some classes, hold some meetings, where we can deal with chapters of the bible. Most of you can honor this work of the church by listening to one chapter of God’s word daily proving all things and holding fast to that which is good and rejecting that which is evil (James 3:1; I Cor. 6:3; I John 4:1, etc.) so that together, after my repenting and reediting, we have a purer and purer message to deliver the world.
