In Austria they say : Ghupft wia gsprungn - skipped as jumped - meaning alls the same. Such term - idiom - comes to my mind when I watch the quagmire engulfing Austrias political scene. Everyone appears to have an answer, yet no one is prepared to apply the rule to himself. Take the Austrian Freedom party for example : Heinz Christian HC Strache relentlessly comes down on opposition parties, snips, defames, knocks, complains, sulks. Whining does not solve the problem. Always complaining does not help. Proving he can do better will. Whilst he sulks the main stream parties carry out their plans and grab more powers, contracts, deals at the back of Austrians. So what have you achieved? In reality people dont like complaints 24/7. They want to see changes rather. Actions that prove your leadership is better, more positive. Unfortunately, continued rejection of minorities, especially Turkish immigrants, will not bring the required effect, catapulting him to leadership position in Austria. Leaders must prove they are flexible, capable of dealing with problems such as immigration, racial integration, multiculturalism; understanding other cultures is a key factor in 21st century policy making. HCS ideology of keeping Austria to Austrians is no longer practical. Its 19th century thinking. I find all leaders have drifted away from reality. Earning 14000 Euro 16 x a year and more makes the average pensioner look like a pauper. He who receives a mere 700 Euro a month can not be bluffed any more by empty promises. I say this to our political leaders : If you are for real - show it. Prove you are different. Limit your own income to an acceptable level. But this is exactly politicians fails miserably. They will not give up their comfortable incomes. And this shows their true aims. One can see a miserably failed example of political wannabee in the form of Franz Stronach. His short appearance on the political horizon and his subsequent exit make him look like a comedian. No matter his achievements in Canada, his comic like act in his home country make him an Austrian Chaplin.
