In Brazil, as we dont have a prominent and reliable spiritual - TopicsExpress

In Brazil, as we dont have a prominent and reliable spiritual leader as Dalai Lama, I think some musicians could be good communicators to addresses climate change issues. I can name some of them as Gilberto Gil, Chico Buarque and Caetano Veloso. All three were opponent of the military dictatorships regime (1964-1985). They protested musically and, because of it, they were exiled. Nowadays, they are very charismatic and, in general, everybody loves their songs. Gilberto Gil, for example, was Brazilian Minister of Culture and he has some experience in politics, having acted even in UN. I think everyone knows something about global warming, so the better tool that we could give to empowering the three is the knowledge of how to mitigate climate change and the urgent necessity of adaptation. The main message is the fact that the greenhouse gases, especially carbon dioxide, have cumulative effect, and, if we dont do nothing at now, the consequences will be more and more dangerous for the humankind.
