In Christian Apologetics, while contending for the faith, avoid - TopicsExpress

In Christian Apologetics, while contending for the faith, avoid making sweeping and absolute statements marred with faulty Biblical exegesis and without a basis in Scripture or that which has no consistency with scriptural revelation and care is also essential in not making doctrines out of such. For example, in one place it is written,Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. AND then in another place in Acts10:44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. My point is you cannot make a doctrine out of Acts 2:38 from which I took the first Scripture and say the plan of salvation is according to the pattern that you first get baptised before you receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost as Acts 10 by passes that order and the people received the baptism of the Holy Spirit while Peter yet spake and then they were later baptised in water baptism. But we can all agree to the truth that water baptism and the baptism of the Holy Ghost are essential parts of process of being born again.
