In DC. I spent $50 on dinner. While walking to where Im staying , a homeless guy named Stanley, in a wheelchair, asked me NOT for $$, but something to eat. All he wanted was a Big Mac meal with a strawberry shake & no whipped cream. I had to make sure I understood what he said. Yeah, just something to eat. I told him I would be right back. So I walked to the McDonalds a block away. When I walked in, another homeless guy, Peebo, tried to hand me $2 and said, Would you buy me something to eat? He too wanted a Big Mac meal. So, I bought dinner for Stanley & Peebo. And then Peebo asked me where I worked. I said, You wouldnt believe me if I told you. He said he just wanted a job, is why he asked. I suggested the McDonalds we were standing in. He said he already applied there. Anyway , the $15 in meals I bought at McDonalds were a lot more satisfying than the $50 meal I bought myself at Hard Rock DC. Learned that trick from my wife. Buy homeless guys food, dont give them $$.
