In December, 2000, a large family gathered in West Coast for the joyous occasion of wrapping CHRISTmas presents. It was a big family because it was the product of two marriages. There were so many gathered that night, five of the children slept in the garage. It was a converted structure, kept warm during the cold night by an electric heater which sat by the door. During the early hours of the morning, the heater suddenly burst into flames, blocking the doorway. In seconds the room became a blazing inferno. The frantic 911 call revealed the unspeakable terror of the moment. One of the children could be heard screaming, Im on fire! The distraught father vainly rushed into the flames to try and save his beloved children. He received burns to 50% of his body. Tragically, all five of the children burned to death. They died because steel bars on the windows of the garage thwarted their escape. There was only ONE DOOR, and that was stopped by the flames! You are now back in time...December 2014. Its minutes before the heater burst into flames. You peer through the darkness at the peaceful sight of five sleeping children. You know that at any moment the room is going to erupt into an inferno and burn the flesh of horrified children. Can you in good conscience walk away? No!!! You must awaken them, and warn them to run from that death trap!!! Sadly, the world sleeps peacefully in the darkness of ignorance, including those in the Church...MY PEOPLE are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge! (Hosea 4:6). There is only ONE DOOR by which they may escape death... I AM THE DOOR: by Me if any man enter in, he shall be SAVED (John 10:9). I AM THE DOOR of the sheep. (John 10:7) The steel bars (SIN) prevent the salvation of those who are spiritually lost, asleep, and in the dark, while flames are Gods Eternal Justice! What a fearful thing Judgment Day will be! The fires of the wrath of Almighty God will burn for eternity! Members of the Church have been entrusted with the task of awakening people before its too late...they have been made WATCHMEN! I have made thee a WATCHMAN unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at My Mouth, and give them warning from me. When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul. (Eze 3:17-19) The above is a crucial part of my calling from God! God made me a WATCHMAN! As one of His WATCHMEN, with a love for God and people, I accept humbly this obligation and challenge and gratefully strive to do my duty without fear! In times as serious as these today, we must not permit fear of criticism to keep us from doing our duty that we are called of God to do!!! We cannot turn our backs and walk away in complacency! Think of how the father ran into the flames. His love knew no bounds, and our devotion to the task that God has given us will be in direct proportion to our love for the lost!!! Is yours?! There are only a few who run headlong into the flames to warn them to flee...The harvest truly is great, but the LABOURERS ARE FEW (Luke 10:2). Please be one of them! We really have no choice! The Apostle Paul said, woe is unto me, if I preach not the Gospel!! (1 Corinthians 9:16). It is important to realize that we should share our FAITH IN JESUS with others whenever given the opportunity. The Holy Bible says that there are two times we should do this...in season and out of season...in other words, 24/7! (2 Timothy 4:2). The Apostle Paul pleaded for prayer for his own personal witness. He said, And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the Gospel, For which I am an AMBASSADOR in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. (Ephesians 6:19-20). Remember...you have the AWESOME responsibility of speaking to other peoples loved ones. Many times when you open your mouth for the Gospel, you may be the answer to the earnest prayer of another Christian! Maybe he has cried out to God that He would use a FAITHFUL witness to speak to his beloved daughter or son, and YOU are that answer to prayer. You are that true and FAITHFUL witness that God wants to use....you are either the planter or the one who waters...I (Paul) have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase (1 Cor 3:6)! Never lose sight of the lost in this sinful world! Keep the fate of the ungodly before your very eyes and ears! Too many of us settle down on a church pew and become COMPLACENT! The people we converse with are confined solely to those within the Church walls! Remember...each and every person who dies in their sins has an appointment with the Judge at the Great White Throne Judgment (Rev 20:11-15)! The Church is founded on eternal TRUTH! There is no GREATER task than to be entrusted with the Gospel of Salvation! We do not compromise Gods Word! We do not surrender our standards regardless of current trends or pressures from the world! Our allegiance to TRUTH (CHRIST) as a Church is unwavering, unmovable, steadfast! Speaking out against immoral or unjust actions has been the burden of prophets and disciples of God from time of Noah! It was for this very reason that many of them were persecuted. Nevertheless, it was their God-given task, as WATCHMEN on the tower, to warn the people, working with God for the eternal well-being of dying humanity!!!!! ARE YOU WITH GOD IN 2015 TO ACCOMPLISH THIS MIGHTY TASK?!!! IF YOU ARE, LET THE HOLY SPIRIT KNOW! TALK TO HIM AND TELL HIM THAT YOU SURRENDER YOUR TONGUE AND TIME TO JESUS TO PREACH THE TRUTH OF GODS WORD GOING FORWARD!!! FATHER, help us to recognize the Source of our blessings and the Source of our moral and spiritual standards! The Lord needs humble, yet courageous LABOURERS! IT IS THROUGH CHRIST CRUCIFIED that we should spring into action to preserve these priceless, time-tested blessings! I humbly pray this in the Name of JESUS, Amen!!!!!!!
