In December I had the distinct displeasure of, during xmas drinks in good company, hearing updates on stories from a doctor whos been researching and documenting the real health impact of CSG Mining in Southern Qld. Its heartbreaking hearing the real news from these regions... especially when you know its not here-say but factually obtained and documented. Several years ago leading Health bodies across Australia spoke out about the destruction to land, communities and livelihoods and the impact to human health and wellbeing. Its news we rarely hear a whisper of in the city. Whilst Govts promote the grand dream the reality is profoundly different. Its election time in in QLD... and will Mr Can-do ever think about the realities of these communities. Not if a great many of us say nothing! If you are in this region you may wish to read/sign this : SAVE CHINCHILLA PRIORITY AGRICULTURAL LAND (PL272) FROM CSG ...We have witnessed our neighbours with CSG be subjected to severe health effects, zero baseline testing, community destruction, land subsidence, leaking gas from multiple locations, leaking raw csg water, utter disregard for biosecurity, disregard for privacy and respect, lack of security. This is unacceptable for anyone, and we are not interested in this on our productive agricultural land.
