In Defense of Lloyd Ferguson At first I thought it was poetic justice to see a politician get a dose of his own medicine. But after some second thought I came to realize that Mr. Ferguson has done absolutely nothing wrong. He merely invested in an asset that was created by the City of Hamilton in the first place. With the constant harassment by bylaw enforcement officers, taxi drivers feel more like convicted prison inmates than people simply trying to get by. When they swoop down upon us it feels like, what do you call it, a cell toss? The abuse is abominable. OTWU should be picketing at City Hall. Perhaps now that one of Hamiltons politicians have found themselves tangled in this cancerous regulatory web, more people will see this monstrous regulatory regime for the spiteful, abusive hierarchy of evil it really is.
