In English Armed Islamist groups belonging to the FSA have laid siege to Kurdish areas and have blocked the roads between Aleppo and Efrin (from Dart Azzeh and Azaz) and are forbidding the entry of even basic goods in to the area, including medicines and baby milk. There are over 500,000 refugees from all areas of Syria, in addition to the more than one million local inhabitants. The Arab opposition, especially the Syrian Coalition, as well as the international community, have remained shamefully silent about the ongoing siege on the Kurdish areas. We, the activists of the Kurdish youth revolution in Britain, will be holding a demonstration in London on Sunday 28th July, between 1.30 and 4.30. We will congregate outside 10 Downing Street, and march to the offices of the UN World Food Programme. We are inviting all the Kurdish community in Britain and friends of the Kurds to participate and to oppose the actions of these Islamic groups against the Kurds in Syria. Laying siege to Kurdish areas is not in the spirit of the Syrian revolution and is inhumane and a crime against humanity. We are calling for the immediate end to this siege and for urgent humanitarian relief to be provided to those suffering the consequences of this situation. We, the Kurdish activists in Britain pledge to continue our work against all anti-democratic and inhumane forces in Syria.
