Fear of death takes second or even third within ones concerns after the rush of being with such an awesome force, or letting your troops down. Leaving the military was and is the worst death you can imagine. Practice makes perfect and my dog loves and takes full credit at shooting 30 to 50 yards out and hitting his targets so well.
