In Herräng Dance Camp and hearing the Trad Blues terminology plenty, so I finally was inspired to write this. Its probably inflammatory, though thats not the intention. Hopefully it will be educational for some, or at least illustrative: Why The Term Trad Blues Is Offensive bluesdance/Articles/Trad-Blues/ ...The thing that we seem to have forgotten in all of this, is that there hasnt been some new invention of a type of Blues. The genre of Blues music is well defined and hasnt had any recent additions or upheavals that would require reclassifying all previous Blues as Trad Blues...
