In Honor and Memory of Retired Mendocino County Deputy Sheriff GILBERT LEED JONES who passed away on September 30, 2014 from complications of ALS. He was a resident of Fallon, Nevada at the time of his passing. Gil was a friend and former employee of mine having worked as a Resident Deputy Sheriff in the Northern part of Mendocino County (Laytonville/Leggett Areas) for many years assigned to Northern Operations. Gil was also an accomplished horseman and became a valuable member of our Mounted Enforcement Unit during the 1990s. The 3 images are of Gil and his partners during the Mendocino County Fair & Apple Show, Circa 1990s. Gil is forefront in images 1 & 2, and the 3rd Mounted Deputy Sheriff on the right in image 3. May He Forever Rest in Eternal Peace. My Thoughts and Prayers are with his Family and many Friends.
