In Honour of National Black Dog day, wed like to nominate Mystic! Our gal Mystic has been in our care for close to 10 months now! She is a wonderful girl, super smart and has a ton of training potential! She spends her days playing with all her friends at Pooches Playhouse where she gets a ton of exercise, socialization and love. She would be a wonderful family dog and is great with other dogs and cats. Even though she enjoys her days at doggy daycare, she deserves a home to call her own! Please share so this young girl finds her forever home! This is what Pooches has to say about her: Good with Cats? We have not seen her around cats. I would assume she would be fine with them and want to play. Good with Kids? She has not seen many kids here but the ones she has seen she has been fine with. I can’t imagine her having any issues with children. Good with Dogs? Mystic loves to play. She gets along with all personality types. She is very social and plays a lot! Good with Men? Yes Good with Women? Yes What is energy level like? High. Food Aggression (with dogs or humans)? No. She will growl at another dog if they come near her food bowl; just a signal to stay away from her while she’s eating. Toy/Bone Aggression (with dogs or humans)? None. Crate trained? Yes. We have kept up with crate training so she is prepared for her forever home. She knows her crate as her “bed”. She is fine in the crate overnight. She would be fine left alone in the crate while someone was at work. House Trained? Yes. Leash Trained? Will need work on leash. Off Leash Trained? Mystic gets distracted easily. With some training she will be fine. Basic Manners: She will require some work here as she has been living in a doggy daycare for the past while and we don’t have a lot of time for training, plus she is not in a home environment. She jumps and sometimes mouths when excited. She is distracted easy. She loves food so she will listen for treats. Like any dog she will just require a little work but she’s smart and I know she will listen. Any anxiety? No Any additional issues in the home or yard? She likes to dig, she likes to chew. I would recommend an antler or something durable for her to chew on. Any additional issues on walks? She’s just going to be very excited for a while after she’s adopted it will take her a minute to get into a new routine. She is not used to being on leash. Other comments/issues? Overall we feel Mystic is a great dog and she is going to make someone very happy. They will just have to go through an adjustment period with her after she leaves here and settles into a home environment.
