In Intermediate Pony I showed Cooper, 9 year old German Riding Pony gelding, owned by our client and friend Janet Klein. This was Coopers first full CDE as a single and he did a great job. Especially in the marathon phase where he surprised me with unbelievable forward and a work ethic to dream of. In obstacle 6 I took every speed what he was offering and that was too much (should have known better after 35 years CDE driving!); the carriage turned over, Cooper not and while falling in the Duck Pond I said Brrr and he stopped immediately and then stood like a rock for minutes until we got everything sorted out and put together again to leave the (stinky!) water in the walk. What a good pony! Reason for me to give him a hug in the water and say Thanks. Another prospect for FEI level at the Central Coast Training Center!
