In January of this year, I asked parents here on Facebook the following question: If you could go back in time to the day your child received an autism spectrum diagnosis, what would you say to yourself? In 2 posts, I collected the responses and shared them with readers. Since it has been awhile, I thought I would link to those again here. Diagnosis day can be overwhelming...especially since parents frequently go home and turn to google only to find a huge amount of confusing, often contradictory information. Sometimes, its more helpful to simply hear the perspective of those who have been there and had time to reflect on their experiences. If you or someone you know is new to the world of autism, here is what parents had to say in response to the question above.
