In January we had a huge flood, destroyed two levels of wood floor, downstairs bath, because the wood floor could not be matched we removed the remainder and did the repairs upstairs and refloored the entire 3rd level. During the remediation process asbestos was found in the downstairs bath floor. So that had to be removed plus lots of sheetrock wall and ceiling ruined. Over the spring & summer, was able to replace the sheetrock wall and roof damage, texture and paint. Put in new tile in the downstairs bath, then along with removing doors (to upgrade) yesterday finished the wood floor, replaced all the trim strips, today got the toilet reinstalled and the shower cleaned and ready for use, whew! Also over the summer along with a lot of other repairs, totally replaced the dryer vent to the outside of the house and the dryer now we are actually able to dry in a single cycle. Left todo: install new bath cabinet, put trim strip to cover dryer vent, retrim laundry door opening (door tossed), upgrade bath door to new 6-panel hemlock door. miller time!
