In July, the Home Office released its annual statistics showing over 4.1 million experiments on animals took place in 2013. Such figures are totally unacceptable and while we can feel heartened by the heightened public awareness over animal research and the fantastic support we receive, we must continue to hold the Government to account and push for lasting and meaningful change. In 2015 we expect to see the Government come good on its promise to reduce animal experiments, increase transparency surrounding animal research and end household product testing on animals.
