In June, CDI participated in the international conference on landscape approaches, organised by the Landscapes for People, Food and Nature initiative of which we are member, and supported by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs. Our colleagues Cora van Oosten and Ilse Hennemand were responsible for overall facilitation, and for the capacity development stream which ran throughout the conference. As an outcome of this conference, we recently published an African Landscape Action plan, which can be found on the LPFN website peoplefoodandnature.org/event/landscapes-for-people-food-and-nature-in-africa/. The action plan will guide the activities until spring 2015, when there will be a follow up conference in Ethiopia.
