In June of 2011 we began a Journey like none other. With a small amount of cash and grand visions, we set out to bring Dickinson a new and unique place to dine. A place with Good Food, Good Service & a Laid Back Atmosphere that was open & inviting to everyone (a place reminiscent of the old show Cheers where everbody knows your name) What an amazing 28 months it has been!! We have been on the cover of magazines, had articles written about us in multiple news papers, made it on TV, and was even awarded the Small Business of The Year award from the North Galveston Chamber of Commerce (our favorite) :) The only thing that has been more rewarding than getting the opportunity to see my Concept become a Reality, has been all the wonderful people that we have met along the way. All of you became a part of our lives. We have watched relationships blossom into marriages, children being brought into this world, babies once in high chairs now running around, and met an abundance of really cool people along the way making me love this Amazing town even more!! Unfortunately at this time we are going to be Closing. I am sure this is going to come as a surprise to many of you so I feel obligated to at least give you a couple of reasons why. *Restaurants are really expensive to operate. I understood that going in but it has been even beyond my expectations. The #1 reason most restaurants fail is due to lack of capitol or cash flow. Our story is no different. I borrowed to get this place going and I have been borrowing along the way to keep it going. I am at a point now where I do not want to borrow any more money and further my debt. Much respect to all those who have done it and made it a success! *Next and probably most importantly..This summer my wife and I were blessed with the news that we are expecting our first child. The joy and the passion that I have for this restaurant has now been diverted and I feel a strong responsibility to be able to provide for my child not only financially, but physically and emotionally. The demands of owning a restaurant are too much at this time and I need to have a steady reliable source of income that will also allow me the time I need to be with my family. Thank You to all of those who have supported us along the way!! We Love You All and will be taking away nothing but fond memories as we move on to the next chapter! One Love!!
