In Lightnings Influential Song Of The Week! Influential Song Of The Week: Wildcat by RATATAT. Ratatat is a duo from New York City that has been making killer instrumental music since 2004. Songs that are groovy, fun, and even captivating without any vocals. So yeah, were pretty down. Wildcat was the first single off their second album, Classics, from 2006. You may have heard it most notably in an NFL commercial. We love the flow of this song. The first section is chill and builds up subtly. Then, on cue from a wildcat roar, the song explodes into a dance party. The final section brings the dynamics back down, and is another great example of building up to a climax. Love this band! We have TWO shows this week! Tuesday night at Hard Rock Cafe on 4th Street, and Friday evening at Qdoba in the Highlands for our Highlands Summer Concert Series!
