In London again after 6 years, and some things have changed: more hairdressers, more Belgian restaurants (Léon de Bruxelles and Le Pain Quotidien, and Belgian chocolate etc), no more beggars, Waterstones in Charing X Road gone, more and cheaper clothes shops, north Charing X Road blocked (new Tottenham Court Rd tube station under construction), prices of drinks have gone up a lot, and as much student and Asian visitors as ever during the summer. More Belgian beer brands in pubs (less domestic ones?), Area around Tate Modern modernized (with flats going between 1.25 and 6.5 million £) and Tate itself in reconstruction.
